Evolve Dance Company is both a performing company and competition dance team at Dance Etc. in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Company dancers perform at numerous local events, train at dance conventions in the Dallas/Ft. Worth and Oklahoma City areas, and take additional dance classes at Dance Etc. Each one of our company classes work on performance quality in dance as well as rehearsing choreography for upcoming performances and competitions.
Evolve Dance Companies, both Performing and Competitive, allow children with a passion for dance and performing opportunities to showcase their talents. Dancers learn compassion, teamwork, commitment, and life skills. We believe in teaching kids they are more than just great dancing.
Auditions are held at the beginning of June each year.
Our Performing Company provides a wonderful opportunity for dancers to experience the joys of performing and giving back to our community.
Performing Company is for any dancers ages 7-12 who like to perform more than their once-a-year showcase performance. This program is designed to instill classroom skills, performance basics and a strong love in performing. Company members must be enrolled in ballet, tap, jazz, and technique at Dance Etc. and attend a once-a-week performance company class.
Performing Company dancers also attend one convention a year, with opportunities to attend additional conventions and workshops.
Dance Etc’s award winning competitive dance company is a special program designed for dancers ages 7-18 who have a love for dance and potential for development and growth as a dancer.
This collection of dancers, both girls and boys, is an invitation and audition only group of advanced individuals who are committed to a higher level of dance training. Rehearsals focus on strong foundations, clean technique, flexibility, strength and timing.
Competitive team members will participate in three competitions each season in the Dallas/Ft. Worth and Oklahoma City areas and have special opportunities to attend conventions and workshops throughout the year.
Competitive team dancers have two company classes a week and meet a minimum of one Saturday a month. They are required to be enrolled in ballet, tap, jazz, technique, and modern and have trained at Dance, Etc. for at least one year.
Benefits of our competitive teams reach far beyond just learning to dance and winning trophies. Throughout the many hours spent training, competing and socializing together, dancers build lifelong friendships, while learning the value of teamwork, to trust in each other, to depend on one another and be a reliable person themselves.
